The motor equivalent of a 'living-legend', the 3-Series takes to the world-stage again setting new standards with its Twin-Power Turbo Technology coupled with BMW renowned sports suspension.
The substance of the 3-Series rests upon the following values; excellent handling, sportiness and efficiency. Does the new model have these qualities? Yes, and then some.
BMW say that this model is as agile as its predecessor despite being longer, argue the company. In addition its kerb-weight is 40kg less too. The 3-Series benefits from extra comfort in terms of drive, contributing to an overall improvement in the driving and passenger experience.
The sportiness also remains a constant in the new model; the tried and tested six-cylinder engine, which the company is famous for, will be available to chose from amongst a selection of engines along with the launch of the twin-turbo four cylinder engine. This latest twin-turbo technology promises to improve fuel economy and CO2 emissions, whilst not compromising on performance, but improving it.

Building on that, the efficiency of the new 3-Series is testament to BMW's aims of reducing global CO2 levels and remaining at the fore of innovation. For instance, all models come with fuel saving Stop-Start Technology, Brake Energy Regeneration, Optimum Shift Indicator and the ECO-PRO mode button, which allows for all of the following to be improved again.
In terms of styling spec, the new model is also setting benchmarks. Unlike previous generations of the 3-Series, the F30 like the latest 1-Series takes on new styling specifications in the form of Modern and Luxury lines, joined by the original Sports line and a M-Sports line. Each specification complements the saloon car with its own individual character, combined with high-quality materials, underpinning the premium nature of the 3-Series.
Furthermore, the latest model enjoys design hues similar to the current 5 and 6 Series models, a general 'softening' of exterior features throughout the current line-up. No doubt new chief designer Adrian van Hooydonk, making his own mark. The new car retains traditional BMW trade marks such as the classic kidney-grill, an elegant silhouette accompanied with sporty features such as the short rear-end, curved headlights and overall dynamic styling.
