Frankfurt MotorShow Speculation...

The Frankfurt International Motor Show has always been one of the most prestigious events on the car industry calendar, if not the most. It is where the German automotive companies launch their most innovative and conceptual vehicles for the public and rest of the industry to see for the first time and because German automotive companies are some of the most revered in the industry, it is a big date not just for car enthusiasts but, for other companies to see what they are up against.

This years line-up promises to be no different.  BMW have announced that they will be launching the second generation 1-Series at the show, and many bloggers out there, including myself, have predicted that BMW will also launch the F30 3-Series, at the show. Although BMW have not announced this themselves, it could be the one surprise they want to keep up their sleeve. What else can we expect at this years show? Automotive blog, Carscoop have revealed that the following will be only some of what is on offer:

Frankfurt maybe the most spoken word on the car enthusiast street, but it isn't a name anyone at Saab want to hear too much about, after their humiliating withdrawal from the Show due to lack of funds.

Whilst the future looks uncertain for Saab, it most certainly is not for BMW. Although the Munich company's share price has taken a massive tumble since it recorded its highest share price ever, seventy-three euros on 25th July, only three weeks later it fell to fifty-five euros, this has not affected sales. For the seventh consecutive month, BMW have enjoyed their highest sales in their history. This indicates that although the European and North American markets maybe shaky at present, the foundations behind the company in Munich are strong.

If you want to keep up to date with what is on show at Frankfurt in September, subscribe to my blog as I will be present at hall 11 where BMW, MINI and Rolls Royce will be showcasing their latest vehicles and technology. I will be streaming all images straight from the show to the blog throughout the time that I am there, with detailed analysis to follow. I will also be blogging in depth about BMW's competitors; Mercedes-Benz, Audi, Porsche et al.
